This Selmer Mark VII Tenor Saxophone, serial range 242xxx, is a classic example of Selmer's renowned craftsmanship. Known for its rich, powerful tone and responsive keywork, this horn embodies the transitional design between the Mark VI and later models, making it highly sought after.
Many Mark VII saxophone did not feature an engraving but this example does! This particular instrument is outfitted with black RooPads featuring seamless domed metal resonators, enhancing projection, durability, and an airtight seal. It was overhauled in 2017 by John Gill. The previous owner barely playe the horn afterwards and closeted the horn. We just recently tuned up the horn here at JCS Winds and it is ready to rock n' roll!
With a comfortable ergonomic feel, this saxophone is ready to deliver a versatile sound, from velvety subtones to bright, punchy altissimo.
